Kal Ng has experience in architectural design, film production and virtual reality applications, with a PhD in Architecture at HKU, Kal Ng specialized in cross-disciplinary practices and creative work in film and animations. He operates an architectural design practice KGE LAB. His research includes immersive spatial cinema, gameplay and interactivities in virtual worlds and cultural imaginaries.

Teaching for both BA(HDT) and GCIN Program, his classes include – Trends and Trajectories in Digital Practices, eXtended realities in The Humanities, Game worlds & Imaginaries.

Produced feature film The Soul Investigator was screened at the Berlin International Film Festival Forum 95. 16mm, B&W, 83mins.

Dreamtrips – screened at the Toronto International Film Festival and Hong Kong International Film Festival 99.

Anamorphic 35mm, Color, 95mins.

2017 film Nirvenue completed a trilogy on Dreams.
