Roy Hin Yeung Chow began his career in the industry in the early 2000s. In 2000, while Chow was still at university, he began working for Bill Kong’s Edko Films Ltd., a leading film company in Asia that later produced international blockbuster films such as Ang Lee’s Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and Zhang Yimou’s Hero. He spent many years in close collaboration with the acclaimed producer Bill Kong, during which Roy served as Mr. Kong’s Head of Development, Producer’s Assistant, and Script Developer, assisting him in developing film projects and participating in landmark productions.

Between 2006 and 2007, Chow had the opportunity to work as a Personal Assistant and Historical Researcher for the Oscar- and Golden Globe-winning director Ang Lee, focusing on script analysis and research. This experience provided him with invaluable insights into the international film industry.

In March 2007, Chow was promoted to Head of Development at Edko Films. He contributed to many major productions not only within Asia but also internationally. His responsibilities ranged from project development and pre-production to script development, producing teaser trailers, and promoting the film. Productions include acclaimed titles such as House of Flying Daggers, Lust, Caution, Jet Li’s Fearless, My Sassy Girl(Korea), Curse of the Golden Flower, Secret, Blood: The Last Vampire (US/France), True Legend, and more.
